sxsw fun in austin.

friday in texas was sunny and beautiful. saturday, however..... was the day of our event and it was rainy, windy and coooooold.
even though the weather was not ideal, we still had the best time at GALLERY D! we were so excited to be part of the sxsw fun in austin. we rocked out to not one, but two bands: language room AND oak is keeping. we sipped screwdrivers and bundled up with our double scarves (they were the hit of the party!) we even got to catch up with some of our ol' austin friends.

party season has begun and is now in full swing!
at the end of february we participated in a sales event with DAME LOLA at the murano hotel in tacoma, wa. let me tell ya... we LOVE these girls. very stylish and so much fun. we even got some great pics of the girls in dd. our libby skirt was a big hit.
then we were off to COQUETTE BOUTIQUE and BISTRO in houston. the weather was spectacular and it was a perfect day for a party. our trunk show was all day (mmmmmm... with champagne and cupcakes...) and then the cocktail party followed. aries, the store owner, is beyond amazing and we love her store. also obsessed with her jewelry. i picked up a custom made for me necklace with an eiffel tower and a lucky number 8. annebet was dying for the ring with a picture of tom ford ;)
this weekend we are off to DC for an event at a private residence. and next weekend we will be in austin, texas. annebet and i will be at GALLERY D.

next thursday night we are participating in fashions night out at the belhaus pop up shop at 57 bond street. come check out dd and other designers duskin, gryphon, hester, prova, thread social and wren. there will be drinks, shopping and a sneak peak of our spring 2010 collections. this collaboration of designers are known as VOGUE alumni house as each have formerly worked at vogue including our host brad goreski from the rachel zoe project!!

we had so much fun last week in dallas!! when i arrived on tuesday night, annebet and meredith were sweet enough to take me out for my birthday. we had amazing sushi and cocktails at kenichi, the birthday dessert there is a little piece of heaven!
the second night was the dd event with page parkes management and dallas modern luxury at ghostbar. such a hot place. i loved the decor and the view from the balcony was amazing. everyone had such a great time and the fashion show was beyond fierce. all of the models were stunning in doucette duvall. annebet and meredith looked phenomenal as well!! the buzz among the crowd was that they loved the dresses and they couldn't wait to see more. here is a pic of the finale walk. one of my favorite moments of the night was when a woman said she loved my outfit. then she grabbed my hand and curtsied to me!! i was flattered. that woman was awesome. thanks so much for making my night!

i have been wanting to see The September Issue since i heard about it in march. in case you don't know, The September Issue is a documentary by director R.J. Cutler that goes behind the scenes of Vogue with editor-in-chief anna wintour and her entire crew as they ready for the legendary september issue. rumor has it that there will be a fab premiere in august with a private after party. i cannot wait to see who shows up. as soon as i see it, i will blog a review!! who knows, maybe i will end up at the premiere!!??!! crazier things have happened, right? you can see the trailer for The September Issue here.
DD is gearing up for our own fabulous party next week in dallas. one week from today!! we will be at ghostbar in the W hotel celebrating page parkes management's 24th year in dallas. there will be a fierce runway show showcasing new talent to a VIP crowd. all of the female models will be wearing dd so you know they will be extra hot!
