august has only given us one week so far but WOWZA what a week it has been!! in the glamorous world of dd, there has been our first delivery to barneys, the libby skirt in the september issue of teen vogue and twilight's ashley greene in entertainment weekly wearing hot pink wrigley!!
in world news, sonya sotomayor was finally confirmed by the u.s. senate as the nation's first hispanic supreme court justice. can you imagine having to go through all of that drama for TEN whole weeks. i am not a political commentator at all so you can check out the story here. all i can say is WORK IT MIJA!
i would also like to take the time out to give a huge thank you to Mr. John Hughes who passed yesterday at the young age of 59. if it weren't for him directing such classics as sixteen candles, the breakfast club and ferris bueller's day off, teen movies would not have been the same. anyone who knows me knows that my life would be empty without my teen movie quotes! also, where would be without the fashion those movies inspired? i love wearing my fedora pushed to the back via ducky in pretty in pink.
