meredith came across an incredible useful website for those of us interested in sourcing/buying goods made in the united states: www.madeinusa.com

MadeInUSA promotes recycling "the american dollar though patriotic spending."  You can search over 300,000 american manufacturers.  does not matter how big or how small if your company manufactures and produces in the united states, you should register.  you can also register personally as a patriot if you support patriotic spending.  its free!!

we'll have to be sure dd gets a shout out ;)

perhaps a nice resolution for 2010 - even if one simply begins with asking the question:  where and under what conditions was this made?
