on april 21st (today!!) meet doucette duvall and 9 of the most talked about emerging new york designers at showroom new york, a showroom funded by the state of new york whose aim is to promote "new york made" fashion, for an exclusive preview of their fall 2010 collections.
funded by a grant from the state of new york, the showroom exclusively represents independent new york designers who choose to produce their collections in new york, as a commitment to preserving the garment center and maintaining new york's status as a fashion capital for future generations of fashion designers. this program provides support and services to these designers that are in the early phases of creating and running their companies.
out of hundreds of young designers, only 10 were accepted into the showroom for the fall/winter 2010 season. the designers were selected based on quality, innovation and marketability by a panel of industry professionals.
from evening wear and trend setting casual wear to sustainable fashion and fabulous accessories, showroom new york is home to the following designers: DOUCETTE DUVALL, autumn adeigbo, DRES, eva khurshid, francoise olivas organic, gina de silva, the hilbert project, mothe, new york couture and shauntele.
